  are good places to try. (Software at the sites marked with `*' is not
  only precompiled but packaged so that you can install it with 'inst'
  and/or 'swmgr'.) If all else fails, check Bill Henderson's list (see
  the misc FAQ).  Keep in mind that many of these binaries won't be the
  latest version, and it's worth checking the latest version to see if
  IRIX support has improved.  SGI's presence is continuously increasing
  and the trend is definitely toward better IRIX support.
