  • Troubleshooting:

    Will not work if data is too large. Need to cut in space or time.

    EOF number is located in grid ev. Can select ev by VALUE, VALUES, or RANGE.

    Weighting factor {Y cosd} weights grid boxes near the equator more than boxes near the pole.

    Example:

  • 5 rotated EOFS of DJF Stream Function
  • Total variance of 5 rotated EOFS of DJF Stream Function
  • Troubleshooting:

    Total variance does not change in rotation.
