Subject: -1- Where can I learn about IRIX and Unix security?

IRIX: Look in ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/Security/ for SGI security
advisories and patches.
http://www.sgi.com/Products/WebFORCE/Security.html lists that and
some other security resources. An article in the Jul/Aug 1994
Pipeline discusses general Unix security with some IRIX-specific
aspects.
Unix in general: Read
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/news.answers/security-faq and the books
and papers listed therein for general discussions of Unix security.
Look in ftp://ftp.cert.org/, ftp://ciac.llnl.gov/pub/ciac/ and
http://www.8lgm.org/ for CERT, CIAC and 8lgm material (respectively)
and general security information and tools. 8lgm advisories may also
be obtained by mail by saying 'echo help | mail
8lgm-fileserver@bagpuss.demon.co.uk'. If you have a lot of spare
time, consider the comp.security.unix newsgroup and/or the bugtraq
mailing list (bugtraq-request@fc.net, archived at
http://www.eecs.nwu.edu/~jmyers/bugtraq/).
