- Ingrid, a
data extraction/manipulation program designed to be linked to models.
The Interactive Ingrid Interface is also available.
- LaTex a
document creation language that is aimed at creating scientific
documents. Emacs recognizes latex documents and greatly simplifies
their creation and editing. Some special document formats (called styles), are
here. These include special formats for certain journals.
- latex2html
translates latex files into a set of html files.

Matlab
The MathWorks, Inc.
, (the maker of MATLAB and SIMULINK technical computation software) has
a WWW server. On the server you'll find a product tour
for MATLAB, SIMULINK, and all the Application Toolboxes, a MATLAB gallery
with cool pictures and movies, information on the network services provided by The MathWorks, a
selection of MATLAB-related textbooks, access to the anonymous FTP site, and
much more.
An extension for reading NetCDF files has been added to our
matlab. Function "odb" will allow you to read NetCDF files. Just
try the "odb" command within matlab.
