Max Min

Looking for a site to provide simple temperature max/min information for reporting stations in Nambia, Botswana, and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) Nothing fancy just tourist planning for mid Sept to mid Oct.

I will start with Victoria Falls. Hopefully I will be clear as to how I attained the data for Victoria Falls, so you can use a similer method to receive data for desired locations in Nambia and Botswana.

I will use the NOAA NCDC DAILY STATION searches available at our site to select the station Victoria Falls. What this means is I used the NOAA dataset found in the list of datasets. Then I selected NCDC within the NOAA page...then I selected the hyperlink for DAILY within the NCDC page...and so on. Eventually, after the hyperlink STATION was selected, a map of all the stations appeared. To the right of the map is a hyperlink entitles searches. Once I have found my desired location, a list of all of the variables (i.e. temperature) appears. First select maximum. The following map is a graph of all of the max temp data we have for Victoria Falls. The graph was attained by clicking on the graph icon on the top of the web page. It should be fairly obvious once you reach that step.

NOAA NCDC DAILY STATION maximum Temperature 678430 (Fahrenheit)

The same can be done for minimum temperature.

NOAA NCDC DAILY STATION minimum Temperature 678430 (Fahrenheit)

The next step is to create a monthly climatology chart out of this data. Unfortunately this option currently does not work. We are looking into this problem, and it will probably be fully functional again within a few days. At that time, I will continue...and get the charts of the average mid Sept to mid Oct.
