I'd like to know what temperature and rainfall to expect in Malaga,
Spain in mid-November. How can I go about this - or can you tell me,
please?

Angela

I will do both...

Our NOAA dataset has historical data records for many stations around the world.

Accessing this dataset, we get to the NOAA NCDC GCPS MONTHLY STATION subset, the most suitable for your concern. Using searches, we could type in Malaga. Sure enough, Malaga, Spain is a NOAA station! Here we get temperature data (in degrees C...you could convert it to farenheit using the equation F = 9/5*C+32) A new option within our filters menu is our units conversion. Now that we have worked some bugs out of it, type fahrenheit in the provided box to convert the units.

Using the data that i zoomed in on (above right), I was able to get the averages (above middle) by using the monthly climatology filter. That filter does just what it is called, it averages all of the years with data to formulate a monthly climatology chart. (above left) Around mid november, it appears that the average is about 16 degrees C.

I did not realize when I started that this dataset does not keep precipitation records. Therefore I will switch datasets to get this information. So I used, NOAA NCDC DAILY GLOBALSOD

NOAA NCDC DAILY GLOBALSOD Precipitation 84820 (inches)

I am not sure how much this helps concerning precipitation, because the records only date back through 1994. It appears that the rainy season peaks in late NOV-JAN. (but, once again, this is only over three years.)
