Additional Catalonia data resides in 1 book, 'Granja Experimental de Barcelona: Resumen de las Observaciones Meteorologicas y Fenologicas (1896-1899)' (C/dg500 G75 28290) In these summaries, definitions are:
1. Hourly/daily/monthly/seasonal/annual data - values determined for each consecutive period, e.g., monthly temperature data: Jan 1900, Feb 1900, etc.
2. Long-term data - values determined over a period of years, e.g., long-term monthly temperature data using Jan 1900, Jan 1901, etc.
This book contains regional monthly and seasonal surface weather data from between approximately 30 and 50 reporting stations in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands in Spain; and daily, monthly, seasonal and annual local surface weather data from Barcelona, Spain. The weather data are presented in tables, maps, graphs, and narratives. In addition, this book contains regional and local phenologic data in tables and narratives. The majority of the data are given for August 1897 through July 1899. One graph gives mean temperature readings for the decade beginning in January 1887. Extensive monthly data are given for August and September 1896, but no further data are given until August 1897. Monthly data are provided thereafter except for the missing months of November 1897 and March and April 1898.
The data from the regional reporting stations are contained in tables up to February 1898 and in maps and narratives thereafter. Tables of growing season data begin in December 1897 and are given through December 1898. Growing season and other phenologic data, both regional and local, are given in narratives throughout the text.

The tables contain the following seasonal data, averaged individually: mean pressures, temperatures, humidity, sky cover, vapor pressures, and solar radiation; total rainfall, and evaporation; number of days with rain; and mean ranges of pressure, and temperature. The tables contain the following yearly data, averaged individually: mean pressures, temperatures, humidity, sky cover, vapor pressures, and solar radiation; total rainfall, and evaporation; number of days with rain; mean ranges of pressure, and temperature; soil temperature ranges at varying depths for given days, and soil temperature ranges at varying depths.
Additional Madrid data resides in 28 books, 'Annuario del Real Observatorio de Madrid: Segundo Ano - 1861 (1860)' (C/dg Ao-1 3461), 'Annuario del Real Observatorio de Madrid: Tercer Ano - 1862 (1861)' (C/dg Ao-1 3462), ' Annuario del Real Observatorio de Madrid: Cuarto Ano - 1863 (1862)' (C/dg Ao-1 3463), 'Annuario del Real Observatorio de Madrid: Quinto Ano - 1864 (1863)' (C/dg Ao-1 3464), and 'Annuario del Real Observatorio de Madrid: Sexto Ano - 1865 (1864)' (C/dg Ao-1 3465). In these summaries, definitions are as in the above. These volumes are the second through sixth volumes of the annual of Real Observatory in Madrid. All of the annuals are concerned primarily with astronomical data, but most of them contain meteorological data for Madrid, the Iberian peninsula or both. Besides information about celestial phenomena, solar and lunar eclipses, planetary and stellar occultations visible in Madrid, these volumes contain tables of ten-day, monthly, and annual surface weather data for Madrid, Spain in 1860.
The tables contain the following data: ten-day mean soil temperatures at varying depths; monthly mean pressure, temperature, humidity, vapor pressure, and evaporation; monthly mean (given hour) pressure, temperature, humidity, and vapor pressure; monthly absolute maximum and minimum pressure, temperature, vapor pressure, and evaporation; monthly total rainfall, cloudiness, and wind direction; monthly number of days with rainfall, cloudiness, and storms; monthly range of mean pressure, and temperature; annual mean pressure, temperature, and evaporation; annual mean (given hour) pressure, temperature, humidity, and vapor pressure; annual absolute maximum and minimum temperature, daily rainfall, and evaporation; annual total rainfall; annual number of days with rainfall or storm, and cloudiness; annual frequency of wind direction; annual range of mean pressure; and annual range of mean (given hour) pressure, humidity, temperature, and vapor pressure.

These books are part of the foreign meteorological data collection held by the NOAA Central Library in Washington, DC. Information in this collection dates back to the 18th century for daily, monthly, seasonal, and annual tabular summaries, and the 19th century for weather maps. These data are the result of foreign exchange agreements, but the collection has not been updated since 1983.
